Fortius Gran Reserva 2009 is a complex, bright red Spanish wine with subtle woody notes balanced against ripe fruit and cocoa. Aged for a minimum of 18 months in French and American oak barrels.

Tasting Notes

Clean, bright, cherry red colour developing to brick red. Medium depth. On the nose, complex and intense. Ripe fruits aromas. Subtle barrel notes and pleasant spicy notes, blond tobacco and cocoa. On the palate, fine, very elegant, homogeneous. Pleasant finish, dry wood notes and dried fruits. It matches with any kind of meat and mushrooms rice. Some tasty or oily fish such as tuna or cod. Medium-aged cheese such as emmental or gruyere.
