In 1952 Ernesto “Che” Guevara ventured on a magical journey through the wilderness of Chile on his precious Norton 500 which he nicknamed “La Poderosa” – the powerful one. The journey was immortalised in the film Motorcycle Diaries.

50 years on Chile lays claim to being the most dynamic wine region on Earth. With the vineyards having been planted in the hot dusty tracks of the fertile valleys the quality of wine is now leaving its imprint on the palates of discerning wine drinkers everywhere. La Poderosa is a stunning example of the new wines coming from this region.

Tasting Notes

In the mouth this Malbec is soft, medium bodied and round. Deep ruby red in colour. A hearty Malbec with rich fruit flavours of damson plums and spice, underlined by a note of black pepper and chocolate. The palate is a juicy mix of plums and black cherry with black pepper notes on the finish.
