Production

At the foot of the Andes Mountains in Chile, Torreón de Paredes makes estate wines from grapes hand harvested in its own vineyards. Both the winery and vineyards lie in Rengo, in the upper reaches of the Cachapoal Valley, Rapel Region. Rengo is a recognised Chilean terroir for the production of fine wine. It enjoys a Mediterranean climate, dry in spring and summer, with cool summer nights as well as rocky and alluvial hillside soils.

The grapes for this wine are usually harvested towards the end of March, at their optimum ripeness. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks.

Tasting Notes

This Cabernet Sauvignon has a deep ruby red colour and aromas of ripe red fruit, blackcurrant and strawberry. Its sprightly varietal character, medium body and pleasant finish are evident on the palate. Ideal to serve at 16-18°C with grill red meat, lamb, meat fondue or cheese.
