A stunning and smooth cava, presented in a stylish bottle, Vilarnau Brut Reserva Cava is a winning choice when looking for a creamy, fruity, and refreshing sparkling wine.  The stylish bottle showcases the Trencadís technique – “Trencadís” (broken tile) being a mosaic style used in the modernist movement in Catalonia, which crafted together small fragments of broken glazed ceramics, usually roof tiles or crockery, into irregular shapes and patterns. The resulting bottle is a homage to the Vilarnau winery’s closeness to Barcelona, and also makes for a beautiful design that will make a fantastic addition to any wine collection.

Production

The vineyard is located in the area of d’Espiells, the highest, windiest part of the municipality of Sant Sadurni d’Anoia. Bordered to the south by the coastal Serrelada mountains and to the north by the Montserrat mountains, the vineyard enjoys an exceptional microclimate, producing a sparkling wine that is very Meditternean in its features.

Tasting Notes

Complex on the nose, offering the primary aromas of the grapes. Further along there are notes of apple, pear and white flowers, leading towards bread and pastries. Vilarnau Brut Reserva Cava is a fresh and fruity sparkling wine, and works tremendously well as an aperitif.
