Flavour Profile
Woodford Reserve Distiller’s Select is a small-batch straight bourbon made on Kentucky’s oldest distillery site, and the only bourbon which is triple distilled in copper pot stills.
Rich, rounded and smooth, this bourbon whiskey has complex aromas of dried fruit, vanilla and tobacco spice, followed by flavours of toffee and spice with a long, warming finish. Best enjoyed on the rocks or as the ideal ingredient for a classic Old Fashioned whiskey cocktail.
Tasting Notes
THE NOSE
Rich dried fruit, with hints of nuts oranges and cocoa. Faint vanilla and tobacco spice.
THE PALATE
Rich, rounded and smooth, with complex citrus, apple and cinnamon flavours leading into toffee, caramel, chocolate and spice notes.
THE FINISH
Silky smooth with a long, warm satisfying tail.
The Perfect Serve
Woodford Reserve Old Fashioned
Add 50ml Woodford Reserve, 10ml sugar syrup & 2 dashes of bitters to the mixing glass. Add ice & stir ingredients for 30 – 40 secs. Strain into rocks glass of ice. Garnish with an orange peel.
